We all have that moment just before lunchtime when all sorts of food cross our minds and we start craving all kinds and arrays of food. We want salty, sour, bitter, and sweet all together and maybe crunchy added to the lot. Sadly we cannot have all of these at once or can we? Basically this freshness and a wintery sprinkle of spices.
Turnip Around Salad Ingredients
- 3 large Turnips shredded
- 3 large Carrots shredded
- 2 large Beetroots shredded
- 6 Tbsp. Oil
- ¼ Cup Pistachios (Peeled and crushed)
- 2/3 Cup Raisins
- ¼ Cup Fresh Chopped Coriander (Optional)
- ¼ tsp. Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. Cumin
- ¼ tsp. Coriander
- 1/8 tsp. Ground ginger
- -Juice of a Lime
The method
You shred the vegetables and mix the spices with the oil and juice. Pour the dressing mix well and garnish with the raisins and pistachios. You can certainly add your own twist with some goat cheese on top but it’s a personal taste issue for sure.
